Garage Roof Scotland — A quote-ready site for a Scotland-wide garage roofer.
Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

The Client
Garage Roof Scotland is an Edinburgh-based specialist in garage roof replacement, refurbishment and asbestos garage roof removal. It was founded by Paul McLean, who has worked as a LidgetCompton agent in Scotland for 25 years. The company fits apex and pent roof systems using LidgetCompton materials. It also takes down old garages, lays concrete bases and arranges new LidgetCompton garages.
The team covers the whole of Scotland and works regularly in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife, Dundee, Aberdeen, the Scottish Borders and the Central Belt. It is open 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. The company holds a SEPA waste carrier registration for safe asbestos disposal, replaces most roofs in a single day and takes no payment until the job is finished.
The Problem
An old garage roof is a real worry for many homeowners. Garages built in the 1960s and 70s often have grey corrugated roof sheets that may contain asbestos. Before letting anyone near the roof, homeowners want to know the contractor is properly registered, understands their type of garage and will dispose of the old sheets legally.
The business already had plenty of useful material on its older website: a blog going back to 2013, customer testimonials with project photos, detailed advice on asbestos and on Marley and Compton garages, and pages for five Scottish cities. What it needed was a modern site that showed its credentials straight away, explained the two roof systems clearly and made it easy to ask for a quote from a phone, without losing the pages and content it had built up over the years.
What We Did
We rebuilt the site around the questions a homeowner asks before booking. The homepage opens with a clear headline, the areas covered and two buttons: one to request a free quote and one to call. Below that, a row of trust points shows the SEPA registration number, one-day completion on most roofs, 25+ years of LidgetCompton experience and the number of Google reviews.
Service pages cover apex and pent roof systems (with optional translucent Perspex sheets), asbestos removal, full garage removal, new LidgetCompton garages and Marley and Compton roof replacement. A four-step "how it works" section and a no-deposit, pay-on-completion promise repeat across the site to ease hesitation. A FAQ page answers questions about cost, timing, asbestos and the areas covered.
For local search, the city pages for Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Bearsden & Milngavie moved into the new design with rewritten search titles and descriptions, and each one names the nearby towns and neighbourhoods it serves. Old page addresses redirect to their new equivalents, so existing links still work. Visitors can get in touch through a short enquiry form that asks for their postcode, click-to-call links or a floating WhatsApp button, and a Google reviews feed sits on most pages. The existing blog, testimonials, before-and-after photos and gallery all moved across into the new design.
The Result
Garage Roof Scotland now has a website that matches how the business works: specialist, local and open about how each job runs. Near the top of the homepage a visitor can see that the company is SEPA registered and covers their area. They can compare apex and pent roofs and read recent Google reviews, then ask for a free quote, call or send a WhatsApp message from any page.
The rebuilt city pages and the long-running blog give people searching in different parts of Scotland a relevant page to land on. The no-deposit promise, the four-step process and the plain advice on asbestos are there to reassure a worried owner of an old garage enough to book a free survey.
